The Huntress: Rune of the Dead

A family of 811 AD is isolated, living in their house deep in the forest, just a few hours away from Birka. Their family is poor. Joar takes desperate measures to go on Viking raids after his father has lost all hope in fishing and hunting. Joar doesn’t return to the family for quite some time and they begin to worry that he will never come back. Runa is Runa’s oldest daughter and takes over his chores when he is gone. He is dear to her heart and she hopes that he will be back. She knows that the pain of her family is only beginning. Something is in the air. It’s in the water. The wind. And the soil. Runa has begun to notice something sinister, something that could be dangerous in the woods. She comes across a wounded warrior while out hunting one day and finds him bleeding. He is brought in by her and his family, who tend to his injuries. He begins to heal and she realises that he was sent by God to save her family from the coming evil. He also brings her news about her father.
