The Great Invisible
The Deepwater Horizon oil drilling rig burst in the Gulf of Mexico on April 20, 2010. The explosion killed eleven workers, and was the largest oil spillage in American history. Even though it has been forgotten, the impact of the explosion is still felt by those who were most affected. The Great Invisible is a compelling corporate thriller that also offers a glimpse into the heartbreaking story of human tragedy and the inside track of the oil industry. It’s the first documentary to look beyond media coverage and examine the Gulf Coast crisis through the eyes and experiences of survivors, oil executives and residents. –anonymous
