Linda Sinclair, also known as Julia Moore (40-year-old), is an unmarried teacher of high school English in Kingston, Pennsylvania. With her two Siamese cats, and her extensive collection of literature, she shares an apartment. Apart from her close relationships with favorite authors, she doesn’t have any personal relationships. She likes that her life is simpler than the stories and dramas she reads. Linda’s life changes unexpectedly when Jason Sherwood, a former star pupil (Michael Angarano), returns to Kingston. He had tried to become a New York playwright but failed. Jason, now in his 20s is about to give up art after being pressured by Dr. Tom Sherwood, Greg Kinnear’s father. He must face the reality of law school and accept it. Linda is unable to bear the idea of Jason abandoning his dream so she plans to stage his play as a Kingston High School production with Carl Kapinas, Nathan Lane’s charismatic drama teacher. Linda takes more risks than she would normally take, and the stage becomes a hilarious disaster. Linda is forced to make a choice between her career as a teacher and the reputation of the play. Linda discovers an unlikely friend in her own self. Can she make a new story from the wreckage of her life? –Cinedigm
