The Devil’s Violinist

1830. Niccolo Paganini, the famous violin virtuoso (David Garrett), is at his peak and widely admired throughout Europe. The mere mention of his name suggests many affairs and scandals. Urbani, his manager (Jared Harris), is trying to make sure that his client is as successful as possible. The London public is the only one that has not been conquered. John Watson, an English impresario and Elisabeth Wells (Veronica Ferres), take on all the risk in a scheme to bring Paganini to London to make his British debut. Urbani, who is a businessman and has the ability to get Paganini into London against his will manages to do so. Urbani’s strategy appears to have been a success, thanks to rave reviews from journalist Ethel Langham (Joely Richardson). Pandemonium ensues when protestors converge on his hotel. Manager and musician are forced to flee to Watson’s house, where Paganini soon falls in love with his host’s beautiful daughter Charlotte (Andrea Deck), who is a skilled singer. The violinist and she find a way to connect through music, and Paganini is enchanted by the beautiful young woman. Urbani is dissatisfied and fears that he may lose his control over his protégé. Urbani begins to devise a dangerous plan –Summerstorm Entertainment
