The Departed
The South Boston police department is conducting a crime-action tour of force to combat organized Irish crime. Undercover officer Billy Costigan, a young undercover cop is sent to investigate the mob syndicate headed by Frank Costello. Costello quickly trusts Billy, but Colin Sullivan is a young, hardened criminal who infiltrated state police to become an informer for the syndicate. Sullivan rises up the ranks in the Special Investigation Unit. Both men become deeply involved in their double lives and gather information on the counter-plans and plans of the operations that they are a part. Both the police and mob discover that Colin and Billy are in the company of a mole. They must quickly find out the identity of this mole before they can be caught.
