The Day the Earth Stood Still (2008)
Helen Benson, a doctor from Helen’s hometown of New York City is called to an military base along with other scientists. The alien-looking humanoid and huge robot aboard is named Klaatu. Klaatu, the alien claims he is Klaatu. He says that he came to save Earth. However, the US military and other political authorities view him as a danger and use intensive interrogation techniques to get him to surrender. Dr. Benson however decides to allow him to escape. She tries to persuade him to stop claiming he’s there to save the Earth when she discovers what his true intentions are. –garykmcd
