This suspense thriller by Ron Howard brings to life Dan Brown’s controversial bestseller about a secretive power that has been hidden for many thousands of years. When one of Paris’ Louvre Museum’s most prominent curators dies, the silence is broken. He was found on the museum’s grounds with bizarre symbols in his body. They were left at the exact spot where he had died. Police call Sophie Neveu (Audrey Tautou), an eminent cryptographer and victim’s grand-daughter, to find out the meaning of these symbols. Sophie (Tom Hanks), an American symbologist, is able to help her. Robert and Sophie dig into the case deeper, uncovering that the victim was involved in the Priory of Sion. This secret society has members who have had access to prohibited knowledge since the beginning of Christianity. Sophie and Robert discover evidence that may lead them to the Holy Grail’s final resting spot. Meanwhile, members of Opus Dei, a secret Catholic society, chase them, intent on keeping the world from learning their most precious secrets.
