The Child in Time

Stephen Lewis, a children’s author and photographer is out shopping with his 4-year-old daughter Kate. Then she vanishes. His marriage is put at risk by his failure to locate her. Julie, Stephen’s wife, moves to a beachside village with him. Stephen writes on but the prime minister asks him to verify Charles Dark, his closest friend. He has left his Cabinet membership and moved into a remote woodland retreat with Thelma. Stephen becomes disturbed by Charles’s apparent return to childhood. He recalls his loss, and returns to London to find that he mistakenly believes another little girl to be Kate. Thelma, three years later, asks Stephen for assistance with Charles’ increasingly troubled state. –don @ minifie-1
