The Blackout (2013)
Chas Knopfler, the lead singer of a ragtag band of fools, sandbags them into throwing the party of their dreams the night before embarking on a worldwide tour. Toss Dunbar is the drummer. Eddie Mesmer, rhythm guitarist, wakes up to see him hanging from a tree. The house has been completely destroyed. Toss and Eddie quickly discover that they don’t know what happened and there is a corpse in their pool. Or their Rock and Roll dreams will end. State Dependent Learning is their only hope. This is the scientifically supported fact that any information you learn while being under the influence of “substance” can only be remembered and applied to solving a task only when the two states are together. In layman’s terms: To remember, they must drink. They are able to get halfway to the Blackout, despite insurmountable odds. Bad Math will realize that they are more than their part and be able to save their rock stardom dream by keeping their mostly-virgin sexes out of jail. You’d think I would, but Vodka is out. –Keith Brown
