Step Up
Tyler Gage, a troublemaker and street performer from Baltimore lives in Baltimore with his foster family. They live in an area of lower income. Mac Carter, his younger brother Skinny Carter are his best friends. They used to go to parties together and steal cars. The trio is expelled from the party and break into the Maryland School of Arts, where they commit vandalism and cause damage to the stage. Tyler is taken into custody and given 200 hours community service. Director Gordon then assigns Tyler to clean the school. Tyler is seen by Nora Clark, a ballet dancer, dancing in the area. When Andrew, her partner, has trouble, Tyler offers Tyler to assist her with choreography. They practice together and make friends, while Tyler makes new friendships with Miles Darby, Lucy Avila, and Lucy Avila. Tyler, who is well-known for giving up everything and leaving Nora behind after he returns from his trip to the USA, leaves Andrew alone.
