Joe and Jerry are two Chicago musicians who witnessed the St. Valentine’s Day massacre. They want to escape Spats Colombo, the gangster behind it all. The only thing they can find is a job in an all-girl group heading to Florida. They are desperate for a gig outside of Chicago. The train station is where they meet Josephine and Daphne who are the substitute saxophone players and bass players. Sugar Kane Kowalczyk, who plays and sings the ukulele, is a favorite of the pair. Joe tries to win her over while Jerry/Daphne gets wooed and wooed Osgood Fielding III, a millionaire. As the men attempt to conceal their identities, chaos ensues when Spats Colombo’s crew arrives for a meeting with other criminal lords. –garykmcd
