Nomi Malone is alone and determined to be a professional dancer, despite her past. She isn’t as tough and streetwise as she thinks. As she arrives in Vegas she becomes more careful about how she interacts with strangers. She is able to use her talent and network to land a job at Cheetah Club. This strip restaurant has a lot of fun. Molly Abrams is her first friend and she works at Stardust as the costumer for Goddess. Nomi is attracted to Goddess’ headliner Cristal Connors by Molly. Nomi feels a love/hate relationship with Cristal. She doesn’t like Cristal but she wants to be her. Nomi, Cristal’s boyfriend and Stardust entertainment director, also sees her at Stardust. Nomi has numerous opportunities to join the Stardust/Goddess clan through these connections. Nomi must decide what lengths she is willing to go in order to realize her dreams. James Smith is a dancer and choreographer in a struggle. He is attracted to Nomi partly because of her raw talent but also because he believes Goddess is illegitimate. While the Cheetah appears as it is on the surface Goddess hides behind the Cheetah’s big name. Nomi will see the positives and negatives of Vegas, particularly among the wealthy and famous. –Huggo
