Billy Batson, an unadopted child from Philadelphia is becoming a problem for Child Services and authorities due to his persistent search for his mother. In his latest foster home, Billy meets Freddy and is chosen by Wizard Shazam as his champion. Billy is now able to speak the wizard’s name and instantly transform into an adult superhero. He enjoys exploring his new abilities with Freddy. Soon, however, Billy discovers that Dr. Thaddeus sivana is his enemy. He was rejected previously by Sivana and instead has taken the Seven Deadly Sins power. This mad scientist is now following Billy for his own purposes.
