Punch-Drunk Love
Barry Egan is a hateful person who hates life and himself. Barry, the only man among his eight siblings is treated badly by his domineering sisters. He has struggled to make it in his life, even though he owns his business. His solitude allows him to conceal his anger and frustrations. He finds solitude allows him to think and stumbles upon an idea to travel around the globe for a small amount of money, something he’s never done before. He meets two people that pull him in different directions. Lena Leonard is his friend and sister Elizabeth’s best friend. Barry doesn’t realize Lena has attracted him and he makes her do all the moves. Barry is finally rescued by Lena, who stays with him despite all his problems. The second Georgia, who Barry contacted to try and alleviate his loneliness, threatens his new relationship with Lena. Georgia and her “band” of brothers will do anything to get Barry what they want. –Huggo
