Pacific Rim
Kaiju were monstrous sea creatures that began to rise from the ocean. This war would endanger millions and consume all of humanity’s resources over many years. A special weapon type was created to combat giant Kaiju: Jaegers. These massive robots are controlled by two pilots who are connected via a neural bridge. Even the Jaegers, however, are finding themselves almost invulnerable to the Kaiju. The forces protecting mankind are on the brink of defeat and have to look to two unlikely heroes, Charlie Hunnam (a former pilot) and Rinko Kikuchi (a trainee). They team up to drive the legendary Jaeger that is now almost forgotten. They are mankind’s only hope of escaping the approaching apocalypse. –Del Torro
