Overlord (2018)
A number of American paratroopers drop behind enemy lines on the eve D-Day (the 5th June 1944). They are there to complete a crucial mission that will ensure the success of the invasion. This is to destroy the radio tower in an old French castle. The Third Reich used it for communications between Berlin and Normandy’s beaches’ bunkers. The intense enemy fire causes the planes to be shot down, and many soldiers are either killed or injured in landing operations. Private Ed Boyce, an Italian private, survives to locate Corporal Ford. He is a last-minute incorporation and has been trained in bombs and explosives. Chase was also a war photographer and Tibbet was a rogue spy. Dawson, however, remains unharmed. Ford is elected leader and the team tries to capture the tower-equipped town to finish the mission. They meet Chloe in the woods near the town. She helps the soldiers with their elderly aunt and her little brother Paul. Boyce accidentally ends up in the Nazi radio tower and discovers horrible secrets about human beings. This could lead to a victory for Hitler that would forever change the destiny of the entire world. Boyce and his companions begin to see that there’s more than just a military operation in the Nazi-occupied village as D-Day approaches. Not only must they fight soldiers who will destroy the radio tower but also the effects of experiments that would devastate the whole area. Hitler’s Third Reich of a Thousand Years promises all this and he does it before dawn. –Chockys
