Nancy
Nancy Freeman, a woman in her 30s who lives with her mother in Liberty (New York), is Nancy Freeman. Nancy Freeman, a struggling writer of short stories whose submissions have been rejected repeatedly by the media, finds a way to express her creative side and feel loved. She runs a blog where she pretends to be the mother in mourning for a child who has died. Nancy is shocked to see a report on an elderly couple that has not given up their search for their daughter. Their daughter was abducted as a child 30 years ago. Nancy notices a vague resemblance in Nancy and the age progression of her daughter. She contacts the couple, asserting that evidence has been found that she had been kidnapped. Nancy finds herself immersed in her own lies as she attempts to get into the lives of her husband and daughter. This has serious consequences for all she comes into contact with.
