Mojave

Famous Hollywood director feels unhappy with his life. He is also feeling the effects of the problems in his relationship with his wife. This will likely lead to a costly divorce and the loss of custody of his daughter. He decides to escape his daily life for just a few hours by driving into the Mojave desert. He doesn’t get the escape he expected. The turning point is when a sociopath drifter enters his camp. Both men end up wanting to kill each other after that encounter. The director doesn’t realize that the drifter who wasn’t aware of his identity during the encounter ends up learning about him and making himself a more attractive target when he returns home to Los Angeles. The drifter appears to want to terrorize the director with threats of harm towards his friends, associates, and/or loved one, which could include his current girlfriend, an actress from France. The game of cat-and-mouse turns deadly when an innocent third person is killed. Each man wants to be blamed for that death. Each man views a beautiful ending to their dispute, with the difference being which one will survive. –Huggo
