Minions: The Rise of Gru
Gru (Steve Carell), a suburbian growing up during the 70s amid a frenzy of feathered hairstyles and flared jeans is amidst the chaos. Gru is a fanboy for the supervillain group known as Vicious 6. He plans to be evil enough to join them. His loyal minions provide him with some help in creating mayhem. Kevin, Stuart and Bob and Otto, a Minion with braces and an eager need for please, use their talents to build their first lair and experiment with new weapons. They also complete their first mission. Gru is interviewed to be their new member after the Vicious 6 remove their legendary fighter Wild Knuckles. The interview goes poorly, and then Gru surprises them by outsmarting them. He suddenly becomes the enemy mortal of the highest of evil. Gru, on the run, will look to Wild Knuckles for help and find that even evil men need some guidance. Universal Pictures
