Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi
Dixt is a Jhansi princely minister who sees Varanasi born Manikarnika and proposes to her that Gangadar Rao be his prince. Sadashiv Rao conspires with British officers in order to capture Jhansi. He is promised a share of it once he has conquered Jhansi. Sadashiv Rao, Gangadar Rao’s son after Lakshmi’s birth sees himself in terror and poisons holy water at the child’s naming ceremony. Gangadar Rao is left to his final resting place. Gangadar Rao adopts a boy and Sadashiv Rao regrets not having adopted his child. A toddler runs to Lakshmi Bai following Gangadar Rao’s passing. Jhansi is conquered by the East India Company. However, Lakshmi Bai takes over the throne and fights for Jhansi. –[email protected]
