Magic Mike XXL
Three years have passed since Tampa-based Mike Lane left his life as a stripper to pursue his dream of owning a custom furniture company. The Kings of Tampa, his ex-troupe (minus Dallas who was their boss), stop in Tampa on their road trip to Myrtle Beach for a stripper convention. Mike and the other members of the troupe are approaching the end of their lives as strippers. They see this convention, along with most others, as the last chance to make it big. Mike plans to go with his friends to the send-off. Mike starts to dream about his future with the current members of the troupe, and Mike begins to envy his friends’ current lives. The troupe feels lost without Dallas, and Mike tries to help them feel inspired, but he might not be able. They meet many women as they travel, and this may help them decide if their ideas about how to attend the convention are still viable. The trip is not without its challenges. Mike will need to ask for favors to help him get to Myrtle Beach. It’s unclear if the women at the other end will be open to Mike’s apology or pleas for assistance. –Huggo
