Lowlife
Tarantinoesque, gruesome and darkly comic crime thriller drama. Set in poverty-stricken L.A. The story is divided into three segments called “Monsters”, “Fiends,” or “Thugs”. It follows a group of desperate, seedy characters that have connections to Teddy, the local mass-murdering crime boss and white slaver. He kidnaps and kills illegal immigrants in order to organs and enslaves them in his prostitution/rape ring. El Monstruo, a failed luchador, is not able to break character and suffers from violent blackouts. He also serves as Teddy’s chief henchman and tries to overlook the horrifying details of his job. Kaylee is his wife and he’s due to have a child with him. She was given to Teddy as a child by Crystal. He hopes that El Monstruo will be able to fill the role of El Monstruo, the legendary, heroic, and heroic luchador father. El Monstruo did not do this and is now ridden with guild. Keith, Teddy’s accountant was convicted of a crime when he was younger but has never been sentenced since Randy, his closest friend went to jail for him. Randy finally is free after eleven years. Keith takes Randy to prison and discovers that Randy was a completely different person during his time there. Although he has a huge swastika tattooed across his forehead, he talks and acts like a Compton black rapper. Crystal runs the motel in which illegal immigrants are kept, only for them to be captured by corrupt ICE agents. Teddy is then taken to Teddy’s house for execution or enslavement. Kaylee, her biological father, requires a kidney donor to save her husband. Teddy suggested Kaylee may be interested, but Kaylee is kidnapped and Crystal suspects that Teddy was involved. She then takes a shotgun to go to her daughter, with or without El Monstruo.
