Logan’s Run
The surface of the city is 2274. The dome houses a city, which allows for little to no labor, so residents can enjoy all the joys of living. The only problem is that your life span is very limited. When you turn thirty, the quasi-religious “carrousel” will end it. Some people, called “runners”, attempt to escape this fate. It’s up to Sandmen to find them and to kill them. Logan (Michael York), a such man thinks little of his job, even though he is several years away from his termination date. He meets Jessica-6, a young girl (Jenny AGutter), and is soon ordered to run and invade a “Sanctuary,” a dome outside of which he works. Logan and Jessica are guided by Francis Jordan, a Sandman friend. They discover an amazing, almost uninhabited land. Logan realises that he has to return to the dome and tell them about his discoveries. –garykmcd
