A coal mine accident in recent times has resulted in the deaths of several miners, leaving small-town residents traumatized and scarred. Bill Doyle, the wealthy mining executive who caused the accident, pretends it didn’t happen and refers to the families of the miners as “trailer trash”. However, his wife Diana and her son JT are well aware of the truth. Diana feels ashamed and socially awkward with the rich snobs that she once knew.
