Limitless (2011)
Action-thriller about an author who is given an experimental drug which allows him to access 100 percent of his brain. One man transforms into the best version of himself and forces that are more powerful than his imagination mark him as a target for assassination. Eddie Morra (Cooper), an out-of-work writer, is disappointed by Lindy Cornish (Abbie Cornish). This confirms his conviction that there is no future. All of that is wiped away when an old friend introduces Eddie NZT to him. This designer drug makes Eddie laser-focused, more confident than anyone else alive. All that Eddie has read, heard, or seen on his NZT-fueled adventure is now organized and easily accessible to him. The former no-one rises up to the top in the financial world and attracts the attention of Carl Van Loon (De Niro), a business mogul who views Eddie’s enhanced version as a tool to make billions. However, his meteoric climb is threatened by the brutal side effects. Eddie has to stay connected long enough to escape capture and fulfil his destiny, despite a shrinking stash and hitmen who want to eliminate him in order to obtain the NZT.
