Life, Animated
Owen Suskind, a promising boy at age 3, was diagnosed with autism. His parents nearly lost heart when Owen began to withdraw into a silent state. They were hopeful that Owen would find a way to communicate with the world. The Walt Disney Company animated films provided Owen with a means to learn about the world and create his own stories. The film tells the story of Owen, and shows how he achieves his goal of becoming functional with Disney’s help. Owen quickly learns that real life is much more than Disney’s animations, even though his family is preparing for a uncertain future. –Kenneth Chisholm ([email protected])
