La Haine
Over twenty-four hours, the film follows three young men as they spend time in a French suburb “ghetto”. Vinz is a Jew. Said, an Arab and Hubert are both black boxers. These suburbs in France have high levels of diversity and a racist and oppressive police department. Vinz was able to locate his gun after a police officer fell victim to the chaos that followed the Riots. Vinz now has a way to earn the respect and admiration he deserves. He vows to murder Abdel if he dies in hospital. This is due to the beatings he suffered while being held in police custody. –b4arr2y
