Mike Dooley and Jerry Lee have been together for almost ten years. Jerry Lee may not be as young anymore, however, Dooley’s superiors believe that Jerry Lee should retire from the force. However, there’s a stalker that wants Dooley to die. Devon Lane, a disgruntled crime writer, has become obsessed with Dooley after his wife rejected him book. He blames Dooley and her husband for their deaths. Captain Byers pairs Jerry Lee and Devon with an older K9 team. This includes aggressive female detective Welles with her Doberman Pincher Zeus and Dooley. Dooley is unsuccessfully investigating a former convict, and the dogs help him get back on track. They sniff out Devon’s storage box. Dooley discovers Devon’s identity in the room. One of Devon’s manuscripts also reveals his intentions to torture Dooley. Dooley and Jerry Lee are on the scene when Devon invades the precinct, taking Welles hostage. Can Jerry Lee manage this rescue? –Todd Baldridge
