Yuuta Okkotsu is haunted. Since Rika, his childhood friend died in a car accident, Yuuta Okkotsu has been haunted by her ghost. Her spirit is not the same Yuuta Yuuta used to know. She is now a powerful and monstrous entity that fiercely defends Rika. Yuuta cannot control Rika’s violent behaviour and is unable to stop her brutal revenge. Yuuta, who was captured by the “Jujutsu”, secret guardians of world trained to fight forces such as Rika, wants to be isolated from all others so no one can hurt. His apprehender Satoru Gojou (a master sorcerer) has other plans. He will enroll at Jujutsu High School to learn how to control Rika and help others. Yuuta, now a first year at the school learns Jujutsu art and fights malignant beings. Yuuta, along with Maki Zenin (a Jujutsu weapons specialist); Toge Inumaki (a spellcaster who uses words as weapons); and Panda (a walking, talking panda bear), begins to discover his place in this world and to be comfortable with his abilities. As his Jujutsu training continues, Yuuta learns that there are more dangers than just wicked spirits.
