In Time
You are now in a world that time is the most valuable currency. You stop aging at 25, but there’s a catch: you’re genetically-engineered to live only one more year, unless you can buy your way out of it. While the wealthy “earn” many decades (remaining at 25), they become essentially immortal while those who are poor borrow, steal, or beg enough to get by each day.
