In the Room
The six stories are all set after 1942, when the British surrendered to the Japanese troops at Singapore. The same Singaporean hotel is the setting for all stories, including those involving sex. Six different stories about six couples from Japan, Britain, and China that span several decades. Segment 1 – Rubber: Two middle-aged men fall in love with each other. One is a British man who doesn’t want to go to England, while the other wants to remain. The Singaporean, on the contrary, would rather stay. Segment 2: Pussy is an experienced woman who teaches young girls how they can use their sexuality to hurt men. Segment 3 – Listen: A band plays at a hotel on a New Year’s Eve. They then go back to their rooms and have a party with lots of drugs and orgy. Segment 4: Change: Transgender woman and boyfriend get excited about the gender-reassignment surgery that is to come next. Segment 5: Search: While her husband is on vacation, a young woman with a wealthy businessman’s wife spends some time having erotic moments together with her teenager lover. Segment 6: First time: To forget about her boyfriend, a young lady who has never experienced an orgasm goes to a hotel with her male friend.
