Hoop Dreams
The documentary follows two African-American high school seniors as they learn basketball skills and try to get a scholarship to college so that they can eventually be able play in the NBA. William Gates and Arthur Agee both have great potential, and they are being actively recruited for high school. Arthur and William both start at the same highschool, but when they are unable to afford tuition fees due to unexpected circumstances, Arthur must withdraw from the school to go to the public school. They are followed through four years at high school, their struggles and triumphs. Their hoop dreams will continue through it all. –garykmcd
