Gangs of New York
The Five Points district, which is known in the early-1860s Lower Manhattan as “The Five Points”, has Bill Cutting as its supreme ruler. This area is rife with prostitution and crime. The American Civil War continues. Amsterdam Vallon is an Irish-American orphan who returns to the melting pot of corruption 16 years after his brutal father’s murder from Bill Cutting’s blood-stained hands. However, much has changed in that time. It is hard to remember this once innocent boy, now an angry young man who climbs the ranks of the Five Points hierarchy. Amsterdam will ever experience the sweet, but dangerous fruit of retribution. –Nick Riganas
