Gwen DeMarco played Lt. Tawny Madison, while Jason Nesmith was the suave Commander Peter Quincy Taggart. Gwen also starred as Gwen DeMarco, who was a communications specialist on the NSEA Protector. Fred Kwan, the engineer Tech Sergeant Chen and Tommy Webber, the child pilot Laredo. It still lives in the hearts and minds of its passionate fans 18 years later. It is still a relic of its stars who are unable to find work as actors. They live a life of cashing in, often attending fan conventions, or worse, opening electronic stores. Jason is the only one who seems content with his life. Then he discovers that many of their co-stars dislike him for his superior attitude and “The Commander”. Jason’s life is changed when he meets convention-goers who approach him to offer help. In reality, they are an alien race known as Thermians led by Mathesar. They have taken their lives after this series and believe it to be true. Jason, Guy Fleegman and the rest of Jason’s cast members, decide to join the Thermians. Jason’s fellow stars believe that this is a lucrative gig. They soon discover they must play their parts for real. They have to believe that the play they are performing will succeed, even when dealing with General Sarris, their antagonist. Guy is particularly concerned that Guy will behave the same way as his character on the series. They need someone to help them when they come across technical problems that as actors they didn’t really care about and are now unable to solve. –Huggo
