Friday the 13th (2009)
An unknown group of teenagers set up a tent next to the summer camp, where it is believed that a string of horrific murders took place in 1980. A grieving mother was driven mad by Jason’s drowning. She believed that the counselors had neglected her son. Legend has it that the final survivor of these attacks was the one who beheaded the victim. Jason returned, but he was a determined and unstoppable killer who wields crossbows swords and other sharp tools. These campers soon discover that the legend is horribly true. Six weeks later, one of the campers’ brothers distributes posters about his sister missing. Police believe that she ran off with her boyfriend, but he is more certain. He crosses paths with a young, wealthy man who wants to have his girlfriend and his friends at their cabin. Just before the attack on his sister, the brother finds himself at their cabin. –J. Spurlin
