Four Weddings and a Funeral
Charles, a slightly awkward and tardy Charles (Hugh Grant), and his closest friends are always at weddings. However, they never become the bride or groom. As such, every member of the group, except for Gareth (Simon Callow), and Matthew (John Hannah), seeks love. Charles, Angus, Laura, and Sarah Crowe, are attending the wedding of their close friends. There, Charles acts as best man. Carrie MacDowell, an American woman, is also there. It’s love at the first sight for him. He is also attracted to her. They spend an unforgettable evening together but that is it. Charles and Carrie meet again at three weddings, with some brides and grooms that are dear to Charles. They also attend one funeral. But something keeps them apart. Charles also meets a lot of his old girlfriends. He may think that one of them is the right one for him, even though Carrie appears to be impossible to reach. Charles will settle for whoever he thinks is best or will destiny bring Charles and Carrie together. –Huggo
