Danilov, a political officer, leads Vassili Zaitsev and publishes his attempts to bring some hope to his fellow countrymen. Vassili soon realizes that he cannot live up to his expectations. Danilov and Vassili fall for the same girl Tanya (a female soldier). The master sniper Konig from Germany is sent to end the Russian skilled sniper. –Mattias Thuresson
