Daphne (Shailene woodley), reeling from an unfortunate breakup finds her life a mess. She lives in the guesthouse of her sister and is constantly witness to her brother-in law and sibling fighting. This only makes Daphne more depressed about her long-term relationship. At one of her sister’s parties, Daphne is introduced to Frank (Sebastian Stan), and Jack (Jamie Dornan). They are both extremely attractive to her in their own ways, but in completely different ways. One is the wild, reckless boy who is always up for anything and is open to adventure, while the other is calm, smart, sensitive and committed in his academic career. Daphne is unable to decide between the almost opposites and finds herself moving between them, enjoying each other’s different views of her. It’s like she’s trying out new versions of herself, or the possibilities for the future. However, fate can make decisions for us and soon Daphne will have to admit that she might not be the best person for it.
