Edgar Allan Poe’s Lighthouse Keeper
Castaway wakes up on the beach, his forehead swollen. He then sees a woman walking away. He grabs his bag and follows the woman. He falls while climbing up a rock and then faints. The keeper Walsh tells him that he has amnesia and they’re isolated on a peninsula, where no one can escape. Two weeks later, he will be able to travel to San Francisco by ferry. He warns, last but not least, that he will always have a torch lit at night. The woman is again found when he goes back to the forest in the morning. They fall in love and he learns her name is Nora. Nora tells him that Walsh is insane and she can’t go to the lighthouse when he comes back. The young man sees the spectral creatures as he blows out his candle.
