Dunkirk (2017)

May/June 1940. The French port city of Dunkirk is home to four hundred thousand British-French soldiers. There is no way to escape by sea. The Germans possess air superiority and bomb the British ships and soldiers without any resistance. In desperate times, Britain sent civilian boats to help the beleaguered troops, along with its Navy, to make matters worse. The story is told through the eyes of two Royal Air Force pilots and one soldier trapped in the fighting. Also, a number of civilians are on the boat as part of an evacuation fleet. –grantss
