Mark Newman, an elevator mechanic, is dispatched to investigate the malfunctioning elevators at the Millennium Building. This landmark in New York City’s East Side, has become a famous tourist attraction. He is met with unexpected opposition and it seems that not everyone likes his participation. Police begin an investigation after a horrifying and fatal incident in which a blind person falls into a shaft. However, they are not very successful. Mark has a determination to uncover the cause. Jennifer, a female journalist, joins Mark in his quest for the truth. They work together to uncover the mysteries behind the strange behavior of an elevator, which seems to be living a secret life all its own. As the death toll increases, things become more difficult and worse, the Government seals off the building, believing that terrorists may be involved. This was initially a simple job, but it quickly becomes a nightmare. Mark must face an enemy who is driven by unpredictability and bloodlust.
