Nearly two decades later, the Deep Blue Sea carnage (1999) is over, Misty Calhoun accepts Carl Durant’s invitation as a shark conservationist to join his marine biologists at the Akhelios complex, a highly sophisticated facility located in the middle the ocean. Durant, determined to succeed where Aquatica’s ambitious Aquatica Project failed, makes the same mistake and genetically alters bull sharks using a novel formula.
