Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon
In early nineteenth-century China, in the waning years of the Qing dynasty, the renowned swordsman who yearns for enlightenment, Li Mu Bai, decides to give up his legendary Green Destiny sword: the sharp four-hundred-year-old blade of heroes. Li gives the weapon to Yu Shu Lien to mark his end to a long and bloody career. However, once it is delivered to Governor Yu, a savvy, masked thief manages it to be stolen. Shu Lien follows the path of the skilled burglar. Unrequited love, fervent passions, an insatiable thirst for freedom and bitter loose ends are all obstacles.
