The action-thriller follows LA taxibie Max Durocher. He is the kind of person who can wax poetically about others’ lives. This impresses Annie Farrell (U.S. Justice Department prosecutor) so much, that she calls him at the end. He is a hardworking man, as evident by the efficient way he works. But he doesn’t know how to or will not translate his eloquence and passion into a better future. His twelve-year old cabbie gig is temporary, and he believes that he’ll one day own his limousine company. His mother is even deceived by him. He tells his mom that he has one and that he will do whatever it takes to get that. Max meets Vincent one night and asks him to drive him home. Vincent asks Max to take him to five locations that night for a flat fee, which is $600 plus $100 extra if Vincent arrives on-time at the airport. Max reluctantly accepts. Max discovers this the hard way when Vincent’s body crashes through a third-story window of an apartment. He lands on his cab and is killed. Vincent has one goal. He wants to kill five people at each stop. However, he won’t let anyone get in his way, not even Max. Vincent makes Max drive him home, and Max attempts to slyly take control of Vincent’s life, particularly when Max discovers that Vincent has a hit list. Ray Fanning (LAPD Narcotics Detective) and eventually the FBI are called in when Vincent’s first victim becomes involved with an undercover case Ray is handling. Ray manages to gather information that puts him on Max’s trail. –Huggo
