After the news about Mulwray’s alleged tryst with this woman goes out in the media, Gittes discovers more information that leads to the conclusion that Mulwray may be being framed and set up. Gittes’ investigation into the Mulwray framing issue and his setup finds that Evelyn Mulwray is helping him. However, he suspects she may not be being as open with him. He uncovers more details about Mulwrays professional and personal lives as he continues to investigate, such as Mulwrays past business partnership with Evelyn Cross’s father Noah Cross. The key to unraveling the entire story may lie in the identity of this unknown woman. –Huggo
