Caligula
Pagan Rome 37 A.D. The reign of half-mad, frail Emperor Tiberius is ending. Prince Gaius Augustus Germanicus (aka Caligula) is summoned on Capri to visit the palace of sin, the ruler of Capri. Caligula becomes the new Emperor after the death of Tiberius. Julia Drusilla his lover and sister is declared his equal. This upsets the Roman Senate. As a reign of terror and depravity begins, allegiances are turned into betrayal and virginities are destroyed. Torture and execution are used to eliminate the opposition, and Caligula, a dangerously insane megalomaniac, declares that he is a god.
