Brooklyn
Ireland in the 1950s. Eilis Lacey, (Saoirse Roan), is a young lady who works in a grocery store. Her ambitions are greater and she moves to Brooklyn (New York), leaving behind her sister Rose (Fiona Glascott) and mother. Although she is very homesick, she eventually finds a job and studies to become a bookkeeper. She also meets Tony Fiorello, an attractive young man from Italy, (Emory Cohen). She is happy and things are moving along, until Rose dies. Then she decides to temporarily return to Ireland. Tony and she get married quickly, then they set off to Ireland alone. It’s about to get more complicated. –grantss
