Bob Dylan: The 30th Anniversary Concert Celebration

An impressive, diverse group of musicians gathered in New York City’s Madison Square Garden on October 16 1992 to celebrate Bob Dylan’s 30th anniversary. This four-hour show, which featured musical legends such as Johnny Cash, Eddie Vedder and The Clancy Brothers, celebrated the extraordinary lifetime of music in front of an audience of more than 18,000. The show, affectionately called the Bobfest after participant Neil Young was there to broadcast it around the globe. It featured musical greats who performed carefully selected and sometimes surprising songs from Dylan’s songbook. The man of honor, Neil Young, gracedly returned the show to its original home at the end. The Bob Dylan party was a memorable music event in a world that has seen all-star celebrities gather.
