Birdboy: The Forgotten Children
Psiconautas los Ninos Olvidados (Psychonauts: the Forgotten Children) is a disturbing, dismal and obscure story about Dinki, her school friends Sandra and Zorrito. They are three kids who have been left behind by a nuclear accident that destroyed most of their island. The three children leave their home to seek a better lifestyle away from the oppressive atmosphere. They travel to the coast with the money that they have saved to buy a boat to take them to Europe. Birdboy is a child, and also a drug addict, who is being tried by police to escape his arrest. He also tries to control the inner demons by using drugs to calm him down. While Sara, Dinki and Zorrito explore the island, facing many dangers, and finding the poverty of the island’s inhabitants and its residents, Birdboy recalls his childhood with his father, the lightkeeper of the island, and takes care of the resort, a last natural resource he built in secret. Can Birdboy overcome his inner demons to restore prosperity on the island and his resort? Will Zorrito, Sara and Dinki be able to leave the island in time? –Chockys
