Henry lives alone with his mother, who is overprotective. Henry is afflicted by a rare form of sunburn and should avoid direct sunlight. Henry lives at night, spending his time at the gas station, the evening shift working at the restaurant and swimming under the moonlight in the creek. Henry isn’t sure who or what he really wants until he meets Alison. Alison answers the help wanted sign in Battlecreek when her car stops working. Henry immediately falls in love with the beautiful girl. Henry is immediately attracted to Alison, who shows him that it’s possible to live the life he dreams of even if it means losing his mother and letting go of his past.
